Lead Development Operations Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a Driving Licence for this role.
• We require 10 years UK residency immediately prior to application.
• We require applicants to be a British citizen, an EU or EEA member state national, a Commonwealth citizen, or a foreign national free of restrictions.
• We require the ability to attain and maintain DV Vetting.
• We are looking for someone with extensive experience in technical subject matter expertise, including exploit development, penetration testing, risk assessment, AI tools, and vulnerability testing.
• We need someone comfortable communicating, presenting regularly, and liaising with police forces and external partner organisations across the country.
• The interview includes a practical element to demonstrate competency, so strong practical technical capability is expected.

Responsibilities:

• We support the provision of the Technical Intelligence Development Unit to our officers and staff.
• We work on nationally co-ordinated projects to develop Targeted Equipment Interference capabilities and technology that will transform UK policing operations.
• We develop critical technical capabilities for Police Scotland Technical Collections.
• We act as the technical subject matter expert within the team.
• We provide oversight and assurance for capability design.
• We make critical decisions regarding the technology used in operations.
• We liaise with police forces and external partner organisations across the country.
• We communicate and present regularly as part of the role.
