Lead Cyber Security Consultant

Salary: £90,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• We expect experience of complex ICT systems security in a technical delivery or consulting capacity in the UK Defence sector or Public Sector.
• We expect the ability to present and justify conclusions to project teams and business stakeholders.
• We expect proven ability to deliver to client expectations and requirements.
• We expect strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of structured security frameworks such as HMG SPF and ISO27001 is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of security, technical and enterprise architecture methods such as TOGAF and SABSA is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of technical risk assessments is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of software development methods and techniques, such as Agile methods including SCRUM, is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of enterprise security packages, security enforcing software and devices such as identity management and federation, cryptography, public key infrastructure, firewalls, SIEM, and vulnerability scanning is highly desirable.
• We require candidates to be eligible and willing to obtain UK Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities:

• We lead one or more Actica teams across a range of consultancy assignments.
• We provide advice and guidance on Information Assurance topics.
• We develop IA strategies, policies, guidance, and awareness.
• We plan and manage the delivery of security work programmes.
• We define security requirements.
• We design and implement security architectures.
• We oversee the secure development and accreditation of information systems.
• We provide security expertise for major system procurements and Agile programmes to ensure secure delivery.
• We identify, analyse, and evaluate information risks across programmes, projects, and systems.
• We explain the causes, likelihood, and potential business impacts of information risks to risk owners.
• We identify and present options for treating or transferring information risks.
• We author and support the development of security assurance documentation.
• We develop or review new security architectures.
• We scope security testing activities and explain the results and required remediation.
• We manage the delivery of security services across several live projects.
• We work with our client-side customers to manage contract delivery.
• We work with our industry-side customers to develop compelling, winning proposals and deliver projects into UK Defence or the Public Sector.
• We coach, mentor, and help develop junior staff.
• We engage with senior customer stakeholders and help resolve day-to-day delivery issues.
• We support our personnel in the execution of their roles.
• We support mentoring and development of staff.
• We help grow the business through our established customer base and new opportunities.
