Junior QA Tester

Salary: £26,500 - 26,500 per year

Requirements:

• Organised, thorough, detail-focused and methodical, with the ability to follow instructions carefully and think creatively when problems arise
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks and working under pressure
• Able to manage workload, meet deadlines and switch between tasks as needed
• Good face-to-face and written communication skills, including clear and concise written communication
• A good team player, naturally curious and interested in how software works
• Good general IT skills
• Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and email
• Good written and spoken English
• Right to work in the UK
• Desirable: basic programming knowledge
• Desirable: a genuine interest in IT and technology
• Desirable: experience using Windows and Mac
• Desirable: knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW
• Desirable: an interest in crafting or creative software

Responsibilities:

• Test our in-house software using a range of testing methods
• Carry out specific software and hardware testing when required
• Find, record and report software issues
• Work with our internal teams to suggest improvements and new features
• Support the development and maintenance of automated testing systems
• Provide regular updates on work
• Attend meetings and contribute ideas
• Complete tasks set by the QA Manager within agreed deadlines
• Help with general administrative tasks when required
