IT Support Technician

Salary: £30,000 - 36,000 per year

Requirements:

• Previous experience within an MSP or MSSP environment is essential.
• Experience in an IT support or service desk environment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and confidence speaking to customers.
• A genuine interest in IT and technology.
• Good troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to manage multiple tickets and priorities calmly.
• A helpful, personable and customer-focused approach.
• A full UK driving licence, or willingness to obtain one.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, basic networking and customer onboarding.
• Relevant IT certifications would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of AI governance, Microsoft Power Platform, n8n or Rewst is a bonus.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support via telephone and ticketing systems.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Windows, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint issues.
• Support users with accounts, passwords, MFA and general Microsoft 365 administration.
• Diagnose issues across devices, networks and cloud services.
• Log, document and escalate tickets where required.
• Keep customers updated and deliver a friendly, professional service.
• Support customer onboarding and occasional visits to customer sites.
• Liaise with third-party suppliers when needed.

We are recruiting for an IT Support Technician to join a friendly and growing service desk team in an office-based, hands-on, customer-facing role. This is an established MSP in Aldershot, Hampshire, with a possible future move to Farnborough. We offer a salary of £30,000-£34,000 depending on experience, with up to £36,000 for candidates with strong MSP experience, along with Monday-Friday office-based working, private medical insurance, company pension, free on-site parking, occasional flexibility to work from home when needed, and genuine opportunities for career development and progression. We also provide support and development with exposure to Microsoft 365, cyber security, endpoint management, cloud technology and AI-related services.
