IT Network Engineer

Salary: £46,000 - 83,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a CCNA-level certification.
• We require at least 3 years of experience in an IT support role.
• We need a strong understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, SD-WAN, and associated protocols such as BGP and OSPF.
• It is desirable that you have hands-on experience with multiple vendors, including Cisco and Meraki (firewalls, APs, and switches).
• It is desirable that you have experience working within the ServiceNow framework.
• It is desirable that you have knowledge of and practical application of ITIL processes.
• We require a willingness to travel domestically and overseas.

Responsibilities:

• We provide exceptional 3rd line support to our global infrastructure network.
• We deliver a variety of network projects within tight timeframes.
• We proactively monitor IT systems and take preventative measures to reduce system downtime.
• We troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
• We test business applications, network, and server performance, provide performance statistics and reports, and develop strategies to maintain and improve core infrastructure.
• We work with Project Management to deliver site deployments and moves.
• We adhere to all IT security policies and help enforce and monitor compliance.
• We participate in an on-call rota and carry out regular weekend network maintenance.
• We undertake additional ad hoc duties as required to support the business.

We are a highly skilled Infrastructure team based in London, working on a permanent Network Engineer position within the IT sector. The role offers a salary of 65,000 to 70,000 per annum and a working pattern of 37.5 hours per week between 08:00 and 18:00, Monday to Friday. You will join a global environment supporting network operations, with an on-call rota of one week in every four and the expectation of both domestic and overseas travel.
