Graduate Software Developer

Salary: £40,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:

• At least a 2:1 BSc in Computer Science or a related subject from a Russell Group university
• Strong foundation in programming, ideally with exposure to C# or .NET
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles
• Familiarity with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or similar
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
• Eagerness to learn and develop in a fast-paced technical setting
• Knowledge of multi-threading or concurrent programming concepts is desirable
• Basic understanding of networking (TCP/UDP) is desirable
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git is desirable
• Exposure to Windows-based development environments is desirable
• Interest in financial markets or trading systems is desirable

Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining applications using C# and .NET
• Support the development of scalable systems for trading and research
• Contribute to database development and optimisation using SQL Server or similar
• Collaborate with senior developers, researchers, and traders to deliver software solutions
• Participate in code reviews and adopt best engineering practices
• Help improve system performance, reliability, and automation
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in development processes and tools
