GIS Technical Lead (ESRI / ArcGIS)

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Technical Lead, Solution Architect or Integration Architect
• Strong GIS and ESRI experience, including enterprise geospatial platforms
• Experience working on large scale supplier-led or systems integrator-led programmes
• Strong understanding of APIs, integration patterns, cloud technologies and enterprise architecture
• Experience engaging with architecture, cyber security and operational support teams
• Ability to review and challenge technical designs and communicate recommendations to stakeholders

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and assurance across solution design and delivery
• Define and validate end-to-end integration architecture, APIs, interfaces and data flows
• Challenge supplier designs and identify technical risks, dependencies and gaps
• Ensure solutions align with architecture, cloud, security and operational standards
• Support governance, design reviews and technical assurance activities
• Manage third-party technical deliverables and quality expectations
• Work closely with architects, project teams and business stakeholders to drive successful delivery

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to provide architectural leadership, technical assurance and integration oversight for a major GIS transformation programme. Working client-side, you will act as the key interface between internal technology teams and delivery partners, ensuring solution designs are robust, secure, supportable and aligned to enterprise standards. This is a 12-month contract based in South Wales with hybrid working, paying up to £700 per day inside IR35, and available to start ASAP.
