Enterprise Architect

Salary: £48,000 - 88,000 per year

Requirements:

• More than 15 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in digital transformation and architecture.
• Proven experience personally leading and delivering one or more digital transformation programs valued at more than $10M with tangible business outcomes.
• Experience as a Chief Architect or Digital Architecture Lead, including leading a team of architects on large programs and providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring.
• Strong technology breadth across experience, architecture, analytics, cloud, and security, with depth in one or more of these areas.
• Experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure ecosystems and hyperscalers (IaaS/PaaS).
• Experience with distributed, resilient architectures using multi-AZ, multi-region, multi-cloud, IaC, DevSecOps, and automation-first principles.
• Experience integrating partner ecosystems and enterprise capabilities such as CDN, caching, search, and content management.
• Experience with modern integration patterns such as streaming, APIs, and events for real-time and near real-time information exchange.
• Experience with container-based cloud-native deployments, Kubernetes orchestration, and service mesh technologies.
• Experience using accelerators and factory constructs to improve delivery quality and time-to-market.
• Experience guiding and aligning architects across Cloud, Cyber, and Line-of-Business domains.
• Experience with operations-friendly implementations, including zero-touch ITOps/AIOps and SRE.
• Ability to perform rough-order-of-magnitude estimation and costing to determine high-level TCO for large programs.
• High-level business and process understanding of one or more industries, with Banking preferred.
• Strong understanding of how AI is shaping industries and accelerating digital transformation.
• Very good communication and articulation skills, with the ability to communicate appropriately with CXOs, middle management, and developers.
• Deep technology expertise in one or more areas such as Digital/Mobility, Customer/User Experience, APIs and Microservices, Search, Content Management, DAM, Commerce, CRM, Order Management, Analytics, Cloud, and SaaS/PaaS platforms.
• Ability to review detailed designs, code, configurations, and data models, and provide specific inputs to architects and developers.
• Good understanding and practical application of EA frameworks such as TOGAF and Zachman.
• Good understanding of products and platforms relevant to digital transformation.
• Good understanding of leading open-source technologies, frameworks, and tools.
• Ability to work in a cross-cultural team and support multiple time zones when necessary.
• High analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Define and deliver next-generation digital transformation initiatives for leading global organizations.
• Work closely with sales and delivery teams to drive solutions for large and complex programs.
• Participate in presales by advising on best-fit technologies, products, and platforms.
• Develop future-state enterprise and technical architectures.
• Provide technology leadership and governance for program delivery.
• Identify technology big bets, develop solution propositions, prototype them, and proactively take them to market.
• Network and collaborate with CDOs, digital leaders, and business leaders at client organizations.
• Develop viewpoints on industry and digital technology trends influencing enterprises.
• Publish viewpoints for industry consumption and speak in industry and partner forums.
• Lead architects from multiple domains and provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure technical quality.
• Interact with CXOs, middle management, and developers at the right level of abstraction and detail.
• Review detailed designs, code, configurations, and data models, and provide specific inputs to architects and developers.
