Enterprise Architect

Salary: £95,000 - 130,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require all applicants to hold UK security clearance to DV level.
• We are looking for candidates with hands-on experience with one or more technologies relevant to enterprise architecture.
• You should have a degree, or equivalent experience, in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• We expect proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or in a similar role, with a strong track record of defining and implementing enterprise architecture strategies.
• You should have in-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, MODAF, DODAF, or similar frameworks, and notation such as BPMN, Business Capability Modelling, and ArchiMate.
• We value proven experience in maximising the functionality of Enterprise Architecture tools such as Sparx and Bizzdesign using viewpoints and traceability.
• You should have a strong understanding of business processes, IT systems, and technology trends in the industry.
• We look for experience in defining and implementing enterprise-wide technology strategies and roadmaps aligned to business outcomes.
• You should have proficiency in assessing and selecting technology.
• We require a strong understanding of Defence architecture, data, and security policies.

Responsibilities:

• We develop and maintain the organizations enterprise architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
• We collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technology requirements and solutions.
• We assess the current technology landscape, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and propose architectural improvements.
• We define and document enterprise architecture standards, principles, and guidelines to ensure consistency and interoperability across systems and applications.
• We lead the evaluation and selection of technology platforms, frameworks, and tools that align with the enterprise architecture strategy.
• We provide guidance and support to project teams in aligning their solution architectures with the enterprise architecture standards and principles.
• We conduct architectural reviews to ensure compliance with architectural guidelines and best practices.
• We collaborate with IT leaders and business stakeholders to develop technology roadmaps and prioritise investments in line with business objectives.
• We stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in enterprise architecture.
• We collaborate with vendors and external partners to assess technology solutions and make recommendations for integration into the enterprise architecture.
• We drive innovation and continuous improvement by exploring new technologies, conducting proof-of-concepts, and recommending innovative solutions.
