Ecommerce Front End Developer (React, GraphQL)

Salary: £40,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong React/TypeScript development experience (2+ years)
• Experience with or exposure to headless CMS platforms such as Hygraph
• Good understanding of GraphQL and modern data fetching approaches
• Understanding of PWA concepts and frontend performance optimisation
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage non-technical stakeholders
• Experience building B2B and B2C ecommerce websites, ideally interacting with a Magento backend
• AWS cloud experience

Responsibilities:

• Build and own the core ecommerce website experience within a modern, headless architecture
• Develop in React, work with GraphQL APIs, and integrate with Hygraph CMS
• Deliver a fast, scalable, and flexible frontend for a complex ecommerce environment
• Engage with internal stakeholders and translate requirements into technical solutions
• Help shape how the platform evolves and influence technical direction
• Establish and strengthen our in-house frontend capability as we bring more work away from third-party providers

We support both B2B and B2C ecommerce through a complex, high-scale platform and are modernising how we engage customers through technology. This role is based in Northampton, with four days onsite and Fridays working from home. We offer a salary of £40,000 to £45,000 plus benefits, including free onsite parking, 25 days holiday, a strong pension, healthcare schemes, flexible working hours, and funding for training and certifications.
