Dynatrace/Observability Engineer

Salary: £137,280 - 137,280 per year

Requirements:

• SC eligible clearance required
• Dynatrace Associate Certification mandatory
• Strong experience configuring Dynatrace alerts, workflows, extensions, and DQL queries
• Strong understanding and experience implementing and using APM tooling, including Dynatrace
• Experience delivering Dynatrace configuration using automation tools such as Terraform or Monaco
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools, including Dynatrace
• Strong understanding of SRE principles and methodologies
• Strong understanding of observability within a complex tech stack
• Ability to analyse and resolve complex technical problems and document solutions effectively
• Understanding of log and synthetic monitoring principles
• Ability to work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proactive and detail-oriented mindset

Responsibilities:

• We design, implement, and support monitoring solutions across a range of technologies and platforms
• We ensure service stability, performance insight, and proactive incident management
• We translate high-level monitoring and non-functional requirements into actionable configurations in Dynatrace
• We deliver full-stack observability solutions, including application-aware network performance monitoring, synthetics, log analytics, and infrastructure metrics
• We collaborate with architects and project teams to integrate monitoring into solution designs and test strategies
• We maintain and enhance dashboards, alerts, and visualisations to support proactive service management
• We participate in continuous improvement initiatives and tooling exploitation to enhance operational efficiency within immature teams

We are seeking a Dynatrace/Observability Engineer for a 6-month contract at a rate of £528 per day inside IR35. The role is based in Telford with a minimum on-site requirement of 2 days per month. We are looking for someone who can help us strengthen observability, improve monitoring capability, and support proactive service management across a complex technology environment.
