Data Scientist

Salary: £50,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong Python skills for data analysis and modelling, plus solid commercial experience with SQL
• Experience building statistical or machine learning models and working with data in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP or Snowflake)
• Exposure to FMCG or retail data such as sales, loyalty, pricing, product or customer data is a strong advantage, though not essential
• A pragmatic, detail-oriented approach and good communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Design and build statistical and machine learning models that solve commercial problems around pricing, loyalty and customer behaviour
• Write efficient, well-tested SQL and Python to explore, clean and model data at scale
• Work with modern cloud data warehousing tools to access and analyse large, high-volume datasets
• Translate analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with data engineers to get models into production and monitor their performance
• Design and interpret experiments, including A/B tests, to validate impact

This is a hands-on, mid-level Data Scientist role where we work with modern cloud-native infrastructure and give you genuine ownership of enterprise-level projects. We offer a salary up to £55,000, an annual bonus, 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, a fully paid volunteer or charity day each year, and on-demand training with an annual training budget.
