Job Description

Salary: £75,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We have proven experience as a Datacentre Operator or in a similar operations role.
  • We have a strong background in operations and datacentre environments.
  • We have hands-on experience using schedulers and running job schedules; Control-M is preferred.
  • We have a good understanding of JCL (Job Control Language).
  • We are proficient in Korn shell scripting.
  • We have knowledge of Linux and UNIX commands.
  • We have basic knowledge of Oracle database structures.
  • We understand ITIL fundamentals.
Responsibilities:
  • We manage and monitor job schedules to ensure smooth operations across our datacentre environment.
  • We work with scheduling tools and execute operational procedures.
  • We maintain system reliability while working 12-hour shift patterns.
  • We support critical infrastructure and job scheduling operations within the datacentre.

We are offering a 6-month contract opportunity inside IR35 for an experienced Datacentre Operator to join our operations team in Cardiff. The role is onsite in Cardiff, with flexible working options available after initial training. We offer a day rate of £300 and the opportunity to work with industry-standard tools and technologies in a dynamic environment focused on operational excellence.
