D365 Business Central Functional Consultant

Salary: £40,000 - 50,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a minimum of 3–5 years experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV implementations.
• We require experience working for a Microsoft Dynamics Partner or within an end-user organisation in a key Business Central functional role.
• We require hands-on experience implementing warehouse management within Business Central, including inventory setup, bins and zones, warehouse receipts and shipments, put-away and pick processes, and lot/serial number tracking.
• We require experience delivering SaaS ERP implementations.
• We require strong knowledge of Inventory Management and Basic and Advanced Warehouse Management within Business Central.
• We require a good understanding of Sales Order Processing, Purchase Order Processing, and Finance.
• We require knowledge of wider distribution and supply chain processes, including assembly and inventory costing and valuation.
• Experience with handheld warehouse scanning solutions would be advantageous.
• We require strong functional consulting and business analysis skills.
• We require excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the confidence to engage with senior decision-makers.
• We require the ability to gather requirements and translate them into effective Business Central solutions.
• We require a self-motivated approach with the ability to manage multiple implementation workstreams independently.
• We require strong problem-solving, planning, and organisational skills.
• We require a customer-focused mindset with the ability to develop long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities:

• We deliver Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation projects, including solution configuration, data migration, user training, system testing, and go-live support.
• We design and configure warehouse management solutions, including locations, zones, bins, warehouse receipts and shipments, put-away and pick processes, inventory management, and handheld/barcode scanning solutions where applicable.
• We advise customers on warehousing and distribution best practices, ensuring solutions support both current and future operational requirements.
• We translate complex business requirements into effective Business Central solutions.
• We configure standard Business Central functionality alongside our proprietary implementation methodologies and industry solutions.
• We build strong customer relationships and develop a detailed understanding of each clients warehouse and supply chain operations.
• We contribute to internal initiatives, including documentation, knowledge sharing, user guides, and training materials.

We are hiring a Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant focused on warehousing and distribution. This is a hybrid role based in the Midlands, with 3–4 days working from home each week. The role is centered on delivering fixed-scope Business Central implementations for manufacturing and distribution clients, combining functional consulting expertise with hands-on warehouse management knowledge to help customers implement scalable ERP solutions that improve operational efficiency. The salary is £40,000–£50,000 DOE.
