Job Description

Salary: £40,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Proven experience managing enterprise cloud infrastructure environments, including Azure.
  • Expertise in cloud strategy, migration, operations, and service management.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, cyber resilience, incident response, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience leading technical teams and managing multi-region cloud operations.
  • Demonstrable success delivering cloud transformation and modernisation programmes.
  • Strong commercial awareness and vendor management experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Strategic thinking, strong problem-solving capability, and the ability to operate effectively in a complex global and regulated environment.
  • Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, defence, or another highly regulated industry is desirable.
  • A background in enterprise architecture or cloud security leadership is desirable.
  • Knowledge of modern cloud technologies, including serverless, container orchestration, and hybrid cloud models, is desirable.
  • Professional certifications such as AWS, Azure, GCP, ITIL, TOGAF, CISSP, or CISM are desirable.
  • Experience in federated or multi-business-unit organisations and knowledge of relevant compliance frameworks are desirable.
Responsibilities:
  • Define and deliver our global cloud infrastructure strategy, ensuring cloud services support business objectives.
  • Lead the evolution of a hybrid global and sovereign cloud operating model, balancing shared services with regulatory, security, and data requirements.
  • Drive cloud modernisation, migration, optimisation, automation, and platform lifecycle initiatives.
  • Ensure our cloud platforms remain secure, reliable, cost-effective, and operationally excellent.
  • Strengthen cyber resilience and recovery capabilities in partnership with cybersecurity teams.
  • Own cloud governance, risk management, supplier relationships, and financial performance.
  • Lead the delivery of cloud-related projects, transformations, and integration activities.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team of cloud specialists.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to shape the future direction of our global cloud services.

As our Global Cloud Infrastructure Manager, you will report to the Data Centre Director and lead a highly visible global capability, shaping cloud architecture, operations, governance, and platform modernisation. This is a remote role open to candidates in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Sweden, or the United States, with regular travel to global sites and more frequent travel to a location in your home country. Locations include Papendrecht in the Netherlands, Trollhättan in Sweden, Dallas in the United States, and Bristol or other UK locations.
