Job Description

Salary: £28,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Experience designing, developing, testing, and delivering software features, and supporting and maintaining existing applications and tools.
  • Experience as a developer using React, Next.js, .NET (C#), and SQL.
  • Proven track record of application development and support in an enterprise context.
  • Familiarity with Agile development and/or DevOps environments, including practices such as automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices for software design, build, testing, and deployment.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to build working relationships, influence and challenge constructively, listen, and share knowledge and ideas.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Curiosity and commitment to continuous learning and investigating new concepts.
  • Self-motivation and initiative to implement solutions with limited guidance.
  • Attention to detail and a rigorous approach to problem-solving and finding root causes.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, test, and deploy application and framework changes that deliver business value, meet stakeholder expectations, and avoid technical debt.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with the team and stakeholders, applying relevant standards, policies, and organisational knowledge.
  • Provide informal guidance and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Help ensure the team delivers high-quality, maintainable software that adheres to internal standards and policies.
  • Support the evaluation and resolution of technical challenges and blockers, minimising their impact on delivery and supported products.
  • Support improvements and innovation in team technologies and practices, including more efficient software development processes and improved customer experiences.
  • Communicate with technical and non-technical audiences to share ideas and knowledge, provide updates, influence, challenge, and receive feedback.
  • Partner with stakeholders to solve business challenges and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
