Job Description

Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Relevant cyber security and/or IT experience
  • Experience in metric reporting and KPI/SLA management
  • Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, SIEM, DLP, and endpoint protection
  • Experience working with Jira, Azure DevOps, ITSM tools such as Cherwell and ServiceNow, and the MS Office suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A track record of establishing and maintaining effective relationships and collaborating with stakeholders
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and enhance security alert and event monitoring using advanced security information and event management (SIEM) tools
  • Lead the analysis of security logs and alerts to identify potential security incidents
  • Perform and supervise comprehensive analysis of security logs, network traffic, and data to detect and respond to advanced threats
  • Implement and oversee corrective actions and security measures to prevent future incidents
  • Develop and implement processes to prevent recurring security incidents and address underlying issues
  • Guide cyber security analysts in business-as-usual activities, including daily checks, incident response, event monitoring, and response
  • Work with the team lead or manager to manage workloads, drive initiatives, improve the team environment, and mentor junior team members
