Cloud Engineer

Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on cloud platform engineering experience, with AWS at the core, particularly Lambda, EC2, ECS and VPC
• Experience with Terraform infrastructure as code, including building and owning reusable modules
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins or similar
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or ECS
• An engineering background with coding experience in Python, Go, JavaScript or similar
• Comfortable working directly with clients and senior stakeholders
• Desirable: experience with a second cloud platform (Azure or GCP), consultancy or professional services experience, and relevant certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Terraform Associate or CKA

Responsibilities:

• Design and build cloud infrastructure and DevOps solutions for client projects, remaining hands-on throughout
• Lead complex, high-risk technical components
• Set best practices for cloud architecture, security, automation and infrastructure as code
• Build and own CI/CD pipelines to make delivery repeatable and reliable
• Deploy and run containerised workloads
• Work directly with client stakeholders and explain technical decisions in actionable terms
