• Strong commercial experience with Java / Java SE / Java EE
• Solid Spring Framework experience, particularly Spring Boot
• Experience developing REST APIs and microservices
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Experience with Git
• Understanding of OOP principles and design patterns
• Experience with Maven or Gradle
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• AWS, Azure or GCP
• Docker and Kubernetes
• CI/CD pipelines
• HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Agile/Scrum environments

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test and deploy Java applications and services
• Build and enhance Spring Boot / Spring MVC / Spring Data solutions
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices
• Work with relational databases and SQL
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve technical issues
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards
• Optimise application performance, scalability and reliability
• Collaborate with architects, product teams and fellow developers
• Contribute to continuous improvement across development processes and tooling

We are offering a remote 6-month rolling contract for a Java Developer role on a Home Office project. The rate is £475 - £525 per day inside IR35. We are looking for an experienced developer to join our remote team and help build and enhance secure, scalable Java applications and services.
