Product Manager Consultant

Salary: £55,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements:

• Weekly on-site working is required, and you must be able to travel as part of your daily commute to client sites in Newcastle, Leeds, or Manchester.
• You should value in-person collaboration, enjoy building strong relationships, and be passionate about delivering solutions that make a real difference for clients.
• Due to the nature of the role, you must either hold active Security Check (SC) clearance or be eligible and willing to undergo the clearance process.
• SC clearance is granted in line with UK Government security vetting requirements; typically, applicants must have UK citizenship and have lived continuously in the UK for at least the past five years, with no single absence exceeding 28 consecutive days.
• You should have depth of experience working as a product manager on complex projects across the product life cycle.
• You need a good knowledge of software development and familiarity with agile processes and user-centred design.
• You should be able to demonstrate experience developing and gaining buy-in for product visions and minimum viable products.
• You should be able to demonstrate experience using service design tools to map and articulate wider product ecosystems.
• You should be able to demonstrate experience translating product roadmaps into backlogs to prioritise delivery.
• You should be able to demonstrate experience balancing the needs of senior stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
• You should have excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• You should be able to demonstrate that you contribute to constructive and trusting team environments.
• You should be able to demonstrate a methodical and considered approach to solving complex problems.
• You should be able to plan your own tasks to achieve project objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead product strategy and delivery, balancing user needs and business goals across sectors.
• Work with technical teams and stakeholders to develop solutions that deliver client strategic goals.
• Work in agile teams alongside people in design, development, and research roles.
• Help deliver the product vision by deciding which features products need and managing backlogs to meet client preferences.
• Deliver discovery and ideation workshops across diverse groups of stakeholders.
• Ensure work is carried out in accordance with our quality, environmental, and information security policies and procedures, as well as applicable customer policies, standards, and procedures while working on client projects.
• Contribute to improving ways of working and driving continuous improvements within teams.
