NAC Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require 7 years experience in Enterprise Networking / Network Security.
• We require strong hands-on experience with Cisco ISE.
• We require experience with NAC (Network Access Control), 802.1X, RADIUS / TACACS, EAP-TLS, network segmentation, and authentication and identity-based access controls.
• We prefer Cisco CCNP / CCIE.
• We require Python automation and scripting experience.
• We require Linux / Unix administration experience.
• We require enterprise routing and switching expertise.
• We would value exposure to Forescout, Aruba ClearPass, or other NAC platforms.
• We would value IAM / Identity & Access Management experience.
• We would value CISSP.
• We would value VMware / OpenShift experience.
• We would value AI / MLOps / LLMOps exposure.

Responsibilities:

• We design, implement, and support Cisco ISE solutions across a large enterprise environment.
• We support the migration of existing NAC capabilities into strategic Cisco ISE platforms.
• We review current security controls and define target-state architecture.
• We provide SME guidance on network access control, authentication, and identity-based security.
• We work with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Risk, and Business stakeholders.
• We support global security standards, governance, and compliance requirements.

We are seeking a senior Network Security Engineer to support a global transformation programme focused on Cisco ISE and Network Access Control (NAC), including the migration and evolution of existing access control capabilities toward Cisco ISE-based solutions. This role is based in Sheffield, UK, and is being delivered through TEKsystems, part of the Allegis Group network of companies. We are looking for a senior Network Security SME with hands-on experience delivering Cisco ISE-based NAC solutions, ideally including migrations from legacy NAC technologies such as Forescout or ClearPass, within a large regulated enterprise environment.
