C#/Qt Software Engineer

Salary: £135,200 - 145,600 per year

Requirements:

• Strong software engineering background with an understanding of system-level impacts.
• Commercial experience developing applications in C++ and Qt.
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a wider team.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop a new software console application using C++ and Qt.
• Define and implement robust software architecture for a long-term strategic product.
• Work throughout the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis through to verification and validation.
• Produce clear technical documentation to support development and certification activities.
• Collaborate with systems, integration and verification teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Contribute ideas around new tools, technologies and development approaches to improve engineering efficiency.

We are offering an exciting 12-month contract for a C++ Software Engineer in Bristol, working 5 days onsite at a rate of £65-70 per hour inside IR35. We are a highly regarded engineering organisation working on complex, safety-critical defence systems, and this role is a greenfield redevelopment project that will give you significant influence over the software architecture and technical direction. You will work primarily independently while collaborating closely with a wider engineering team to ensure seamless integration within a larger system environment.
