SC Cleared Python Engineer

Requirements:

• Strong Python development skills, with hands-on experience managing packages, dependencies and internal Python libraries using tools such as pip, PyPI and Conda
• Strong Python engineering and package management experience
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation and artefact repositories
• Experience with containers and reproducible development environments
• Understanding of SSO, RBAC, security scanning and API integration
• Knowledge of SBOMs, provenance and policy-as-code
• SC Clearance

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain secure Python and package management golden paths
• Develop curated package repositories and controlled publishing workflows
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, reusable templates and developer tooling
• Integrate platform services with identity, security and runtime environments
• Develop automated onboarding and self-service capabilities
• Support reproducible development environments across Windows, WSL, Linux and containerised platforms
• Troubleshoot developer issues and reduce reliance on workarounds
• Improve platform reliability, build success, performance and supportability
• Produce clear technical documentation and support knowledge transfer
• Work collaboratively with engineering teams to gather feedback and continuously improve the platform

We are recruiting for a Python Engineer to support the development and improvement of secure Python solutions. This is an initial 5-month contract, fully remote, paying £400 - £575 per day inside IR35. Our work focuses on Python engineering, package management, CI/CD and automation, and we collaborate closely with engineering, security and platform teams to create reliable and user-friendly solutions for development teams.
