Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements:
  • Advanced knowledge of NHS and healthcare environments, including security, clinical data protection, and regulatory requirements, with the ability to translate these needs into secure sovereign cloud architectures.
  • Advanced knowledge of Rackspace infrastructure and architecture and the business impact of technologies.
  • Advanced technical knowledge in multiple areas, such as the IT industry, general technologies and operating systems, product development processes, and business operations.
  • Advanced technical knowledge in technology troubleshooting methodologies, design, and implementation.
  • AI/Machine Learning skills.
  • Cloud Computing skills.
  • Cybersecurity skills.
  • DevOps coding skills.
  • Network/Systems skills.
  • CISSP certification essential.
  • ISSAP certification highly preferred.
  • CISM, GIAC, or other vendor certifications such as Cisco or Microsoft SC100 preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Design security frameworks, standards, policies, controls, and strategies required for building a private cloud.
  • Design and develop solutions to business problems in alignment with enterprise architecture direction and standards in a client-facing environment.
  • Perform technical assessments, reviews, planning, architecture development, and modification of specifications.
  • Develop specifications for new products, services, applications, and service offerings.
  • Assess and challenge the compatibility and integration of security products and services proposed by third parties to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.
  • Support Rackspace Sovereign Services and its NHS, Government, and Regulated Industry customer base in a dual internal and customer-facing role.
  • Supervise tasks for effective and efficient use of security technologies related to the protection of Rackspace and customer systems and data.
  • Lead requirements gathering, threat modeling, planning, development, and implementation of data and system security controls and practices.
  • Consult on security direction and maintain oversight of information and information systems assets.
  • Oversee issues of significant scope where analysis requires review of multiple factors.
  • Plan and deliver communications for successful deployment of security controls.
  • Cooperate with Security Operations to implement recommended corrective actions.
  • Analyze gaps between current and target security architecture and develop and implement roadmaps and plans to close them.
  • Supervise activities supporting security professionals providing IT services within Rackspace Sovereign Services.
  • Provide guidance for Cyber Assessment Framework and DSPT toolkit.
  • Develop, communicate, and implement the security architecture framework based on ISO 27001/27002 and NIST 800-53.
  • Embed information security policies, standards, and procedures into IT services methodologies.
  • Work with the Rackspace Sovereign Services security team to ensure security components are appropriately integrated into the overall architecture strategy.
  • Assist the Rackspace Sovereign Services Product team with the appropriate implementation of information security policies and standards.
  • Supervise tasks throughout the system development lifecycle to ensure information security is embedded from the outset.
  • Integrate guidance on mandatory and recommended controls to ensure they are appropriately implemented.
  • Collaborate with project teams to interpret vulnerabilities found during certification processes and help define mitigating controls, remediation plans, or exception processes.
  • Help educate Rackspace Sovereign Services on requirements within the information security governance framework.
  • Design and integrate security baseline standards for security devices within the technology environment, including IDS/IPS, firewalls, VPN, operating systems, and BYOD.
  • Advise on the development of the security product strategy and roadmaps for internal and customer-facing security offerings.
  • Join client calls and drive conversations on security controls, policies, and standards.
  • Perform other incidental tasks related to the job as necessary.
