Salary: £45,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We seek an accomplished Platform Engineer with deep knowledge of platform engineering, DevOps practices, and the software development lifecycle.
  • We require experience and understanding of automation tooling, containerisation, CI pipelines, cloud platforms, and system administration.
  • We require demonstrable experience in a DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering role, with hands-on experience designing, deploying, and supporting cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, as well as private cloud or on-premises infrastructure.
  • We require experience running Linux-based infrastructure, physical or virtual systems, and remote management technologies such as BMCs, serial consoles, and network booting.
  • We require hands-on experience deploying and operating container and virtualisation platforms such as Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack, Rancher, Harvester, or similar technologies.
  • We require experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform and Ansible, together with CI/CD platforms including Jenkins and/or GitLab.
  • We require good proficiency in Python, Bash, Shell scripting, or a similar language, with the ability to automate operational tasks and develop infrastructure tooling.
  • Nice to have: practical knowledge of GitOps solutions such as ArgoCD, Flux, or Fleet.
  • Nice to have: implementation of the Security Development Lifecycle in infrastructure.
  • Nice to have: monitoring and observability experience using Prometheus and Grafana, ELK stack, or equivalent.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with open source project development cycles and contribution processes, particularly around CI/CD infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
  • We design, implement, operate, and support one or more of our developer platforms.
  • We provide software build and test solutions for different market segments such as Mobile, Server, IoT, and Automotive.
  • We manage the lifecycle of core project infrastructure from design through deployment, maintenance, and performance optimisation.
  • We continuously improve workflow quality, security, and efficiency.
  • We provide customer support, including timely analysis and resolution of issues, requirements analysis, and task breakdown.
  • We communicate and collaborate with engineering IT, software development teams, and the open source community.
