Job Description
Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year
Requirements:- We require a bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- We require 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent.
- We require strong experience with full-stack development workflows and front-end familiarity, including JavaScript and React/Next.js.
- We require the ability to use AI coding tools to increase velocity.
- We require experience with containerization using Docker and version control using Git.
- We require proven ability to integrate with CI/CD pipelines and maintain testable, maintainable code.
- We require the ability to work cross-functionally with product managers, designers, researchers, ML engineers, platform engineers, or other technical teams to ship features.
- We require strong debugging and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- We require excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a distributed team.
- We write production-quality code, maintain and connect systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teammates to deliver education features for Autodesk products.
- We help take ideas from early exploration through implementation, launch, and iteration.
- We implement backend services, APIs, integrations, and product infrastructure that support education product features and platform experiences.
- We move quickly from prototype to production while balancing speed, quality, maintainability, and user impact.
- We integrate and productize ML/AI solutions in close collaboration with digital experience and platform engineering teams.
- We build and maintain automation, plugins, or SDKs for CAD platforms, including tooling to support reproducible experiments and product delivery.
- We work across product and engineering boundaries, including lightweight frontend integration, data pipelines, service orchestration, experimentation tooling, or internal product workflows when needed.
- We work with CI/CD systems and containerized deployments, and contribute to observability and reliability of services.
- We write robust, well-tested code and participate actively in code reviews and design discussions while following security and data-handling best practices.
- We collaborate closely with product managers, designers, researchers, frontend engineers, ML engineers, and platform teams to turn ambiguous problems into shipped features.
- We document designs, APIs, runbooks, and hand-off materials to product teams, and help onboard other engineers to the codebase.
- We contribute to team culture by sharing knowledge and promoting reproducible engineering practices.
