Senior Business Analyst Product Consultant

Salary: £70,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in bespoke software delivery, working as part of an agile team for an external customer; client-facing consulting experience is required
• UK public sector experience
• Extensive experience in a relevant commercial or technical environment
• Broad business and technology understanding, with awareness of industry trends
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge appropriately
• Excellent user story creation skills, backlog management, and experience in refinement sessions, pre-sales, requirements, priorities, and value
• Strong business process modelling skills, including capturing existing processes, designing new processes, and presenting processes to achieve buy-in
• Competence in facilitating small groups to achieve focused outcomes
• Ability to translate business requirements into cost-effective functional requirements
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to deliver within project constraints
• Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall project management delivery methodologies
• Ability to work flexibly and to tight deadlines
• Strong team skills and experience working in a multi-disciplinary team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability in managing, mentoring, and coaching team members and the wider community
• Experience mentoring customers on good story writing techniques
• Experience across Agile and Waterfall project methodologies, including frameworks such as Waterfall, Scrum, and Kanban

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the team has a good understanding of business needs so our customer solutions meet the needs of customers and their users
• Articulate problems and processes in ways understood by both business and technical stakeholders
• Facilitate the analysis and design of cost-effective software solutions that impact users worldwide
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and priorities
• Capture existing business processes and design improved future processes
• Support backlog management and user story refinement
• Facilitate small-group sessions with delivery teams and approval groups to achieve focused outcomes
• Translate business requirements into functional requirements that can guide delivery
