Quality Assurance Engineer (German Speaking)

Salary: £60,000 - 110,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require fluency in German, including speaking, reading, and writing.
• We are looking for experience in quality assurance engineering.
• We need experience developing high-quality test plans, test designs, test strategies, and test execution.
• We require experience as a QA lead on medium to large-sized projects.
• We need experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and understand business requirements.
• We require experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
• We need experience scripting or coding.
• We require experience in automation testing.
• We need experience in manual testing.
• Preferred: experience with at least one automated test framework such as Selenium or Appium.
• Preferred: experience gathering test requirements, creating detailed test plans, and defining quality metrics to measure product quality.

Responsibilities:

• We own the everyday product quality for our workstream.
• We work with engineering and product teams to ensure the highest quality product is delivered against defined milestones.
• We monitor production trends and take action to improve the customer experience.
• We evaluate device and Alexa functionality, and create and own test strategies relevant to our customers.
• We develop and contribute automation and other quality tooling that improves test efficiency across our global organization.
• We raise, triage, and drive defects to resolution.
• We improve the everyday user experience for Alexa customers worldwide.
• We communicate with engineering teams and product management to report programme status, collect requirements, evaluate alternatives, and develop processes and tools as needed.
• We design and execute quality campaigns and test strategies that prevent defects and bad customer experiences from reaching customers.
• We advocate on behalf of our customers to improve the experience, regardless of language or location.
