Senior Java Software Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for a hands-on Senior Software Engineer or Technical Lead with strong commercial Java development experience.

• We require full-stack development experience using JavaScript, React, and TypeScript.

• We need experience working throughout the full software development lifecycle.

• We need the ability to understand customer challenges and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Consultancy experience would be helpful, though it is not essential.
• To be eligible for the role, we need a candidate who can obtain high-level UK security clearance.
• We require British citizenship and permanent residence in the UK for the last five years.

Responsibilities:

• We lead and support a team of software engineers.

• We design and deploy cloud-based solutions, primarily using AWS.
• We create continuous integration pipelines using tools such as GitLab.
• We work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture through delivery, support, and maintenance.
• We deploy software into public and private cloud environments.
• We promote high standards of software quality, security, and engineering practice.
