Lead UX Designer

Salary: £60,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge and application of design thinking methodology
• Experience leading projects from a design perspective with full accountability
• Experience planning and facilitating workshops
• Strong strategic mindset with the ability to develop compelling value propositions for end users
• Ability to demonstrate thoughtful approaches to design challenges, including successes and failures
• Experience in line management or mentoring
• Experience working within design sprints and agile methodologies
• Understanding of how to align and prioritise business and user needs
• Strong hands-on skills in delivering prototypes and design artifacts
• Ability to produce sketches, task flows, storyboards, site maps, system maps, and user journeys
• Strong point of view on continuously improving and setting the standard for design output
• Ability to carry out qualitative research and user testing, working collaboratively with researchers

Responsibilities:

• Lead UX design work across projects from a design perspective
• Plan and facilitate workshops
• Develop user-focused value propositions and translate them into design artifacts
• Work closely with clients in intense, user-focused, prototype-driven sprints
• Collaborate with developers, researchers, UI, UX, and service designers to create unique experiences
• Support delivery of large, high-profile digital projects
• Contribute to long-term client relationships through cross-functional delivery
• Produce prototypes, sketches, task flows, storyboards, site maps, system maps, and user journeys
• Carry out qualitative research and user testing
• Mentor others and contribute to team development
