SharePoint & Exchange Customer Engineer

Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year

Requirements:

• 15–20 years of overall IT experience
• Strong hands-on enterprise SharePoint expertise
• Strong experience across both SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-Premises
• Solid Exchange Online and Exchange On-Premises experience
• Proven experience with SharePoint and Exchange Hybrid environments
• Active SC Security Clearance
• Excellent English communication skills
• Strong customer-facing, technical writing, presentation and training skills
• Experience working in enterprise and customer environments

Responsibilities:

• Design, administer and support enterprise SharePoint Online and SharePoint On-Premises environments
• Provide expertise in SharePoint architecture and topology
• Manage SharePoint service applications, authentication, permissions and configurations
• Troubleshoot complex SharePoint infrastructure and application issues
• Perform SharePoint patching, upgrades and version migrations
• Manage and maintain enterprise SharePoint Server environments
• Design and support SharePoint Hybrid solutions
• Plan and execute migrations from SharePoint On-Premises to SharePoint Online
• Support enterprise SharePoint scaling, performance and availability
• Develop and support SharePoint Disaster Recovery solutions
• Manage sites, lists, libraries, permissions and other SharePoint components
• Provide technical assessments, workshops, training and expert guidance to customers
• Support Microsoft 365 and SharePoint modernization initiatives
• Act as a senior technical resource for complex customer environments
• Administer and support Microsoft Exchange Server 2016/2019/SE and Exchange Online
• Design, implement and maintain Exchange Hybrid environments
• Configure and troubleshoot Hybrid Configuration Wizard, hybrid mail flow and secure mail routing
• Manage DAG, mailbox databases, transport services, connectors, certificates and virtual directories
• Troubleshoot mail flow, Autodiscover, Outlook connectivity, mailbox access and authentication issues
• Manage Exchange Online mailboxes, shared and resource mailboxes, distribution groups and Microsoft 365 Groups
• Configure mail flow rules, retention, archiving and compliance policies
• Support Exchange Online Protection and Microsoft Defender for Office 365
• Support Exchange migrations between On-Premises and Exchange Online
• Manage SPF, DKIM and DMARC configurations
• Use PowerShell and Exchange Management Shell for administration and automation

We are seeking a highly experienced Microsoft SharePoint & Exchange Hybrid Engineer with strong enterprise-level expertise across SharePoint Online, SharePoint On-Premises, Exchange Online and Exchange On-Premises. This is a senior customer-facing role focused on enterprise SharePoint architecture, administration, troubleshooting, migration and hybrid solutions, along with Exchange administration and hybrid messaging support. We are looking for someone who can act as a technical expert for complex customer environments, deliver workshops and training, and support Microsoft 365 modernization initiatives.
