Lead Cybersecurity

Salary: £53,000 - 93,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for 4–10 years of experience in information security, with depth in application security architecture, cloud security (AWS), or security pre-sales/solutioning.
• We need a strong understanding of web application frameworks, cloud-native architectures, and SaaS security models.
• We expect proven ability to communicate complex security topics clearly and concisely, both in writing and in live customer conversations.
• We value a builders mindset, where you create playbooks, templates, and repeatable processes rather than solving problems one-off.
• We prefer experience driving automation or process improvement in a security operations or GTM context.
• We need comfort working across time zones and adapting to shifting schedules when customer needs require it.
• We are looking for someone who is self-directed, low-maintenance, and energised by fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• We need hands-on depth in cloud security architecture and operations, especially AWS services such as IAM, VPC, KMS, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and Security Hub.
• We value knowledge of web application security fundamentals, including OWASP Top 10, secure SDLC, API security, and encryption standards such as TLS, AES-256, and key management.
• We need working knowledge of SaaS security models, multi-tenant architecture, and shared responsibility frameworks.
• We prefer familiarity with security questionnaire and trust center platforms such as Loopio, Responsive, and SafeBase, as well as GRC tools such as Drata and Vanta.
• We need the ability to read and interpret security documentation, penetration test reports, SOC 2 audit reports, and architecture diagrams.
• We value comfort with process automation concepts, including scripting, workflow builders, or no-code/low-code tools to reduce manual, repetitive work.
• Nice-to-have certifications include CISSP, AWS Security Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect, CISM, and CompTIA Security+ or equivalent foundational certification.
• We need executive-level communication skills and the ability to distill complex security topics into clear, confident narratives for technical and non-technical audiences.
• We value cross-functional influence and the ability to build alignment across Security Engineering, Legal, Product, Sales, and Customer Success without formal authority.

• We own the end-to-end experience of how we communicate our security story to the market.
• We sit at the intersection of cybersecurity, customer trust, and go-to-market.
• We act as the security voice our customers hear, translating complex cloud architecture and security posture into clear, confident assurances that accelerate deals and deepen customer relationships.
• We build scalable systems, repeatable playbooks, and automation so the team spends less time on manual work and more time on high-impact customer engagements.
• We report to the Manager of Cybersecurity and work across functions to support customer-facing security conversations.
