Lead Frontend Engineer

Salary: £49,000 - 66,000 per year

Requirements:

• Extensive background in front-end development with significant experience in ReactJS and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with Next.js, Angular, or Vue.js is beneficial.
• Experience with mobile development frameworks such as React Native is beneficial.
• Experience with unit testing in Jest.
• Experience with technical leadership and mentoring engineers, including guiding architecture, code quality, and best practices.
• Experience with GraphQL and React for efficient data fetching and state management is preferred.
• Continuous integration experience, including Docker.
• Experience developing and deploying solutions on AWS Cloud is beneficial; AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect is preferred.
• Extensive experience in an Agile environment.
• Exceptional communication skills for working with clients and onsite and near-shore development teams.
• A passion for coding and staying up to date with new technologies, frameworks, and techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Lead teams and manage key stakeholders across the engineering team, including Architects, Product Owners, and UX designers.
• Translate written requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Produce high-quality, efficient, reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Collaborate with team members to define and communicate end-to-end architecture and functional and non-functional design.
• Take ownership of the front-end digital and software platform.
• Ensure use of our Agile process and framework.
• Champion best practices within the team, including TDD, code reviews, and pair programming.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
• Design flexible and configurable software components.
• Produce well-designed, testable, maintainable, secure, and efficient code.
