Senior Network Engineer - TSN & DDS

Salary: £149,760 - 149,760 per year

Requirements:

• Recent experience with Time Sensitive Networking (TSN)
• Experience with DDS (Data Distribution Service)
• Experience with VLAN configuration
• Experience with network architecture and deployment
• Experience in systems integration, integration and test, trials, or mission-critical environments
• Experience in IT networking and its applications within Defence & Security
• Understanding of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model
• Understanding of IPv4 addressing
• Understanding of virtual local area network configuration
• Understanding of network implementation and deployment
• Understanding of network architecture
• Understanding of NetConf
• Understanding of network security is desirable
• Familiarity with safety-critical networks is desirable
• Experience with technologies such as IEEE 1588/PTP, deterministic Ethernet, defence systems, aerospace, maritime, robotics, or industrial control networks is highly desirable

• Develop and maintain network architecture for laboratory environments
• Support and maintain lab infrastructure and development areas
• Configure systems according to Lead Systems Engineer requirements
• Support integration, testing, and trials activities

We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to support our defence client on a 6-month contract basis in Basildon, working onsite 3 to 5 days per week. This role is outside IR35 and offers a rate of £73.40ph LTD. We are particularly interested in candidates with backgrounds in systems integration, integration and test, trials, or mission-critical environments rather than traditional enterprise networking.
