Digital Developer

Salary: £46,000 - 61,000 per year

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Frontend Developer, Digital Developer, or in a similar role
• Strong hands-on experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience developing responsive and accessible web applications
• Experience working with APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services
• Familiarity with databases and search technologies, particularly Elasticsearch and SQL-like databases
• Good understanding of Git and modern software development workflows
• Experience working with cloud platforms and deployment strategies
• Understanding of automated testing and CI/CD practices
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
• Experience working within Agile development environments

Responsibilities:

• Develop responsive, accessible, and high-quality user interfaces using Next.js, React, and TypeScript
• Collaborate with design and product teams to create intuitive and user-centred experiences
• Develop frontend experiences backed by internally developed APIs and search indexes
• Work across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through to deployment and maintenance
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain high-quality software
• Maintain and enhance existing applications, identifying and resolving technical issues
• Write clear technical documentation and contribute to defining project requirements
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automated testing processes
• Work effectively within Agile delivery teams and contribute to continuous improvement
• Keep up to date with emerging frontend technologies, development practices, and industry standards
