Requirements:

• Strong commercial Python development experience
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask and/or Django
• Experience in backend application development
• Experience in RESTful API development
• Experience with Docker is highly advantageous
• Experience with Kubernetes is highly advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain Python applications
• Build and enhance REST APIs and backend services
• Develop clean, scalable and maintainable Python code
• Work within an Agile engineering team to deliver new features
• Troubleshoot technical issues and optimise application performance
• Write well-tested, production-quality code
• Participate in code reviews and engineering best practices
• Work with architects, testers and product teams throughout the SDLC
• Contribute to modernisation and transformation projects

We are hiring an experienced Python Developer / Backend Developer for a major enterprise technology programme on an initial 12-month contract, with the potential for extension. This is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced development team working on enterprise-scale projects and a long-term technology transformation programme. The role offers up to £450 per day and hybrid working, with 3 days per week onsite in Ipswich.
