IT Operations Manager

Salary: £60,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for an experienced IT professional with a strong technical background and a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.
• We ideally want someone with experience in a legal or professional services environment.
• We require experience managing Cyber Essentials audits, including Cyber Essentials Plus.
• We would value experience with Partner for Windows (P4W) case management system.
• We need knowledge of Microsoft Server environments, including 2025, 2022 and 2019.
• We need experience across Microsoft environments, including Azure, AVD, Intune, Entra and Microsoft 365.
• We require knowledge of LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• We need SQL database management experience.
• We require experience with hosted telephony systems.
• We need experience managing third-party suppliers and contracts.
• We require IT service management (ITSM) experience.

Responsibilities:

• We oversee the daily operations of our network and hybrid server infrastructure.
• We ensure our IT systems are aligned with current and future business needs.
• We manage IT budgets, forecasting and cost-effectiveness across the function.
• We lead IT risk management, disaster recovery and backup processes.
• We implement and maintain network, data and communications security.
• We maintain Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation.
• We provide second and third-line support across hardware, operating systems, software, telephony and printing.
• We manage our Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• We oversee reporting and data insights, including audit logs, SQL, Excel and Power BI.
• We maintain and enhance our PMS, including workflows, forms and documents.
• We manage telephony systems and mobile communications.
• We lead and support two members of our IT team.
• We manage supplier relationships, contracts and procurement planning.
• We develop and maintain hardware lifecycle planning over 3 to 5 years.
• We deliver and manage internal IT-related training, including PMS, AML and cyber security.
• We review, update and enforce IT policies and procedures in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
• We maintain accurate hardware, software and licensing audits.
• We work closely with internal stakeholders to provide reporting and usage insights.
