Lead Solution Architect

Salary: £75,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements:

• We have strong experience designing architectures for complex software and digital services.
• We have demonstrable knowledge of enterprise systems, APIs/integration, cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and modern development best practice.
• We have experience developing and reviewing architecture artefacts and applying architecture modelling standards such as C4, ArchiMate, or UML.
• We have strong verbal and written communication skills and experience communicating technical concepts and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• We have proven ability to work with stakeholders at multiple levels across organisations.
• We have experience taking designs through architecture governance processes.
• We have experience working with agile product delivery teams, from solution design through to delivery.
• We have experience delivering projects in a consultancy environment.

Responsibilities:

• We design technical solution architecture for software and digital services.
• We conduct technical assessments and provide actionable recommendations for clients.
• We produce high-quality artefacts and documentation, including high-level and low-level designs, diagrams, architecture models, and written briefs.
• We support development teams to implement our designs.
• We take our designs through architectural governance processes, proactively ensuring alignment with enterprise, data, and security standards.
• We review designs from colleagues and client teams and give constructive feedback and advice.
• We lead project workstreams or small to medium client engagements in technology engagements.
• We create technical roadmaps and contribute to delivery planning to support agile product development.
• We collaborate with client teams to align technical solutions with organisational strategies and user needs.
• We facilitate architecture decision-making with clients.
• We develop and maintain strong client relationships, building trust with senior stakeholders.
• We communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• We contribute to the continual development of our technology and data practice.
• We mentor or line manage more junior consultants and contribute to internal learning.
