Senior Solutions Engineer

Salary: £80,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require at least 3 years of experience in a Solutions Engineer, Presales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, Technical Consultant, or integration-focused role within a SaaS environment.
• We require proven experience working directly with customers in a client-facing technical capacity.
• We require a strong understanding of systems integration concepts and API implementations, particularly RESTful APIs.
• We require experience working with SQL and relational databases.
• We require excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• We require the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• We require strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• We require the ability to work collaboratively with international and remote teams.
• We require the ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• Experience within SaaS, Payments, FinTech, Logistics, ERP, CRM, or other API-driven technology environments would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• We help clients understand the capabilities, flexibility, and value of our platform through technical discussions, demonstrations, and solution workshops.
• We partner with the commercial team to identify and qualify opportunities, uncover customer requirements, and support the sales process.
• We identify technical objections and develop strategies to resolve challenges throughout the customer lifecycle.
• We recommend best-practice integration approaches and solution architectures to ensure successful implementations.
• We act as the technical lead during customer onboarding and integration projects.
• We build and demonstrate prototypes, integrations, and technical solutions where required.
• We provide ongoing technical guidance, education, and support to customers and partners.
• We develop deep product expertise and stay up to date with new features, enhancements, and product roadmaps.
• We work closely with Product and Engineering teams, providing customer feedback and acting as the voice of the customer internally.
• We support customers in optimising their use of the platform and achieving their desired business outcomes.

We are a global SaaS organisation and a recognised leader in our specialist market. As we continue to expand internationally, we are looking to appoint a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our London-based team. This is a customer-facing hybrid role based in London, working 3 days per week in the office. It combines technical consulting, pre-sales, solution design, and integrations, and offers a base salary of £75,000 to £80,000 plus £20,000 to £30,000 variable pay. We work closely across Sales, Product, and Engineering to help customers solve business challenges, implement solutions successfully, and maximise the value of our platform.
