UFT Test Engineer

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience with UFT/QTP automation testing.
• Excellent VBScript automation scripting skills.
• Proven experience designing and implementing automation frameworks.
• Experience integrating automation testing into CI/CD environments.
• Strong understanding of STLC, QA methodologies, and defect management processes.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC eligibility required).
• 10+ years of experience in software testing and automation.
• Experience working in regulated or enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of additional automation tools or programming languages.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop automation frameworks using UFT (Unified Functional Testing).
• Create, maintain, and execute automation scripts using VBScript.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• Lead automation testing activities across multiple projects.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to improve test coverage and delivery quality.
• Monitor test execution, defects, and quality metrics.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other automation engineers.

We are seeking an experienced UFT Test Engineer to join a long-term transformation programme based in Wokingham, with five days per week onsite and possible hybrid working of two to three days per week. This is a 12-month contract offering a day rate of £340 per day inside IR35. We offer the opportunity to work on complex enterprise applications as part of a senior automation testing role within a collaborative environment focused on continuous testing and delivery quality.
