Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Solution or Technical Architect delivering Microsoft identity solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, ADFS, Windows Server 2022, and enterprise IAM.
• Experience with SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SSO, and RBAC.
• Good understanding of networking, DNS, firewalls, routing, and load balancing.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within Defence or other highly secure environments.
• Active UKSV DV clearance.
• Sole British nationality with a valid UK passport.
• Microsoft Identity or Solutions Architect certifications are desirable.
• Hybrid identity and PowerShell automation experience are desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and implementation of a new on-premise IAM platform.
• Design secure identity solutions using Windows Server 2022, Active Directory, and ADFS.
• Deliver Single Sign-On (SSO), federation, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) solutions.
• Define architecture standards, technical governance, and best practices.
• Produce HLDs, LLDs, and technical documentation.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement throughout project delivery.

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of a greenfield Identity & Access Management (IAM) platform within a highly secure environment. This is a site-based role in South West, offered at £680 to £720 per day inside IR35. We will be working closely with infrastructure, security, and engineering teams to shape a modern Microsoft-based identity solution. This is an excellent opportunity to lead a high-profile IAM transformation programme using cutting-edge Microsoft technologies in a secure, mission-critical environment.
