Job Description

Salary: £54,000 - 94,000 per year

Requirements:
  • We are looking for someone with knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • We need experience of being involved in, or leading, elements of a project, including basic project management tools and techniques.
  • We require presentation skills and the ability to deliver training.
  • We would ideally like some knowledge of IT systems such as M-Type, SCE, TMS and Info View.
  • We are looking for strong data analysis and solution design skills.
  • We need proficiency in MS applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams and BI.
  • We require experience working closely with operations and building effective working relationships.
  • We are looking for experience implementing change in a challenging environment.
  • We need experience working in a project environment and within improvement activity.
Responsibilities:
  • We will have you oversee delivery of the site CI plan and act as PMO for the site while supporting the Operational Excellence Strategy.
  • We will expect you to facilitate change activity on site to deliver safety, quality, cost, delivery and people benefits, while encouraging colleague participation.
  • We will have you monitor and support delivery of the site CI plan, working with site teams, Regional CI Managers and the wider Projects team.
  • We will expect you to ensure all site CI activity follows the appropriate gateways and sign-off process.
  • We will have you report progress, risks, issues and benefits relating to all site-based CI and project activity.
  • We will expect you to work with site colleagues to identify opportunities to improve health and safety, quality, cost, service and engagement.
  • We will have you track and report benefits identified and realised at site, and support more effective site resource planning.
  • We will expect you to lead small projects to unlock benefit.
  • We will have you support the upskilling and coaching of colleagues on CI, problem solving and workstream management.
  • We will expect you to support major system change on site, including requirements gathering, process mapping, problem solving and data gathering.
  • We will have you support the delivery and governance of new operational processes, including visual management, auditing, feedback sessions, and SOP updates and maintenance.
  • We will expect you to work with the Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator and senior teams to keep colleagues informed through the site communication strategy and plan.
  • We will have you support senior stakeholder engagement and the wider business change and CI strategy.
  • We will expect you to support diagnostic activity, share good practice and role model the right behaviours.
