IT Support Technician

Salary: £28,000 - 28,000 per year

Requirements:

• I require proven experience (2+ years) in IT roles, preferably in an educational or similar setting.
• Strong leadership skills are essential, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• I expect a comprehensive knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and protocols, including hardware, software, networking, and security.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness, are a must.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are needed, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Project management experience is necessary, with the ability to plan, execute, and evaluate IT projects on time and within budget.
• Familiarity with the ITIL framework and other IT service management practices is preferred.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or ITIL are desirable.
• A valid driving license is required.

Responsibilities:

• I will oversee the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT systems, including hardware, software, and networking infrastructure.
• It is my responsibility to develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance, security, and efficiency.
• I will coordinate with the senior AIT HQ team to align local IT initiatives with broader organizational goals and strategies.
• Providing technical support to staff and students will be part of my daily duties, resolving issues promptly and effectively to minimize downtime and disruptions.
• I will manage IT projects within the local area, from planning and budgeting to implementation and evaluation.
• Monitoring IT performance metrics and KPIs is crucial, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Staying abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in the field of IT will be essential for recommending innovations to enhance operational effectiveness.
• I will collaborate with external vendors and service providers to procure IT equipment, software licenses, and support services.
• Regular reporting and updates for the senior AIT HQ team will be my responsibility, summarizing IT activities, achievements, and challenges within the local area.
