Working Student - Controlling (all genders)

JustPlay is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Working Student in Controlling (all genders) to support our growing Finance team in Berlin. You'll work closely with our Senior Controller and FP&A team on reporting, budgeting and cost analysis, with real responsibility and direct insight into how a scale-up with an international shareholder is steered by numbers.

Job Responsibilities

• Support monthly reporting and month-end tasks by preparing data, updating reports, checking figures and collecting accrual inputs with Accounting

• Help maintain the budget and forecast, including updating actuals and preparing actual-vs-budget overviews for cost-center owners

• Track and analyze key cost blocks such as SaaS, cloud, consulting and payment fees, and flag unusual developments

• Reconcile KPI data from our BI tool (Metabase) against invoices and the ledger, and help clean up inconsistencies

• Prepare analyses, charts and slides for business reviews, and help improve and automate recurring finance processes

Job Requirements

• Currently enrolled student in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a similar field

• First practical experience in controlling, accounting, audit or finance, plus a basic understanding of P&L, balance sheet and accruals

• Good Excel/Google Sheets skills; first experience with BI tools or SQL is a plus

• A structured, accurate working style and a genuine interest in numbers and business models

• Fluent English (written and verbal); German is a plus.
