Requirements:

• Experience working with and developing webMethods products, including Integration Server, API Gateway, Universal Messaging, Designer, and Swagger/OpenAPI
• webMethods Flow Services 10.15 or above
• Integration Server 10.15 or above
• JMS messaging, such as Universal Messaging
• API Gateway 10.15 or above
• Connectors for AWS S3 file transfer
• SQL experience with Oracle, MSSQL, or MySQL
• Experience with Elastic or OpenSearch
• Azure experience
• Kubernetes fundamentals, including pods, services, ingress, Istio, and Traefik
• Containerization experience with Docker or containerd
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, and Teams

Responsibilities:

• Work within an agile integration delivery team supporting a mission-critical platform hosted on Azure for the UK MOD
• Lead ongoing development and support of the integration platform
• Design, develop, integrate, and unit test new features based on Product Owner and client priorities
• Fix bugs and issues raised on the live application
• Develop REST and SOAP services using Designer
• Develop Universal Messaging packages using Designer
• Configure and maintain API Gateways using delivered services
• Advise on integration patterns to support best-practice decisions
• Identify and resolve bugs and refinements in existing integration services
• Ensure secure coding practices and compliance with platform security posture
• Collaborate with UX, QA, and DevSecOps teams to deliver accessible, performant, and maintainable integrations
• Monitor and troubleshoot applications
• Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and documentation in Confluence

We are offering a 6-month hybrid contract with one day per week in the office in either Bristol or London. This role is for a WebMethods Developer working within our agile integration delivery team on a mission-critical platform for the UK MOD. The pay rate is up to £690 per day umbrella only, and an active MOD SC clearance is required.
