VKS Application Engineering Leader, EMEA

Salary: £50,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise application engineering, including 5+ years with cloud-native or Kubernetes platforms
• Strong background in Kubernetes, DevOps, CI/CD, open-source tools, pipeline automation, and enterprise deployment practices
• Proven experience working with platform teams
• CNCF certifications
• Proven record of leading technical teams across a geographic region, directly or through a matrix structure
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence enterprise decision-makers
• Deep experience scaling Kubernetes, containers, or modern application platforms in large, regulated enterprises
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, including microservices, APIs, CI/CD, and event-driven designs
• Technical expertise in Kubernetes, VCF, containers, and leading platforms such as EKS, AKS, GKE, and Red Hat OpenShift; prior Red Hat OpenShift experience is highly desirable
• Ability to understand and write YAML scripts
• Demonstrated ability to work across sales, business development, and delivery functions
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
• Highly desirable: experience with middleware, databases, API management, or application frameworks such as Spring or React
• Highly desirable: knowledge of enterprise requirements, including high availability, scalability, compliance, and RTO/RPO
• Highly desirable: knowledge of infrastructure foundations, including networking, storage, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
• Highly desirable: experience engaging regional teams to drive co-selling motions

Responsibilities:

• We will translate our global vKS vision into actionable EMEA programs and work toward adoption goals, pipeline impact, and customer success metrics
• We will represent Broadcom in strategic regional accounts, influence CIO- and CTO-level roadmaps, and position VCF with vKS as an enterprise Kubernetes platform
• We will guide solution design across container-based applications, infrastructure, and DevOps, working closely with customers platform and infrastructure teams
• We will partner with regional account executives to support technical validation, presales success, professional services scoping, and handoffs to delivery teams
• We will capture customer insights and share them to inform vKS and VCF product direction and represent regional and enterprise requirements
• We will build, mentor, and inspire a regional Application Engineering team, establishing scalable best practices, frameworks, and enablement models
• We will lead customer, ISV, and SaaS company engagement to drive vKS adoption and compete with Red Hat OpenShift
