Technical Support Engineer

Salary: £26,000 - 30,000 per year

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience working on a helpdesk or in IT support
• Solid foundation of IT knowledge with experience and understanding of helpdesk support
• Good verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused attitude
• Knowledge of ticket systems and data entry
• Experience with monitoring systems and remote access
• Ability to work with PC/laptop hardware, identify components, and replace them
• Good Microsoft 365 knowledge, including Active Directory, Office, Exchange, and Azure
• Knowledge of Windows operating systems, installation, and troubleshooting
• Basic server and infrastructure knowledge
• Knowledge of networking and network hardware
• Full UK driving licence and use of a car when required preferred
• English language required
• United Kingdom work authorisation required

Responsibilities:

• Join our 2nd-line help desk team and support customers with day-to-day IT needs
• Handle customer support requests via phone, email, and tickets
• Deal with escalations within the helpdesk
• Support customer requirements, projects, maintenance activities, and out-of-hours cover when required
• Participate in a weekend on-call rota and respond to incidents outside normal business hours when on call

We are an exciting and fast-growing IT managed services business specialising in end-to-end IT and infrastructure solutions. This is a full-time, in-person role with a shift pattern between 8:00am and 8:00pm, Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays, with shift times varying within those hours.
