Sr. Software Engineer - Surface Engineering

Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements:

• We require a degree in Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience in data structures, algorithms, or distributed systems.
• We require a minimum of 5 years of production-level experience building, delivering, and maintaining systems at scale.
• We require a strong understanding of scalability and distributed systems, including sharding, partitioning, and concurrency.
• We require the ability to work effectively as a team player.
• We require a thorough understanding of engineering best practices, including testing paradigms, effective peer code reviews, and resilient architecture.
• We require the ability to thrive in a test-driven, collaborative, and iterative programming environment.
• We require the ability to meet commitments on time and produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and regularly checked in for continuous integration.
• Exposure to Python, Go, AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, or Elasticsearch is a plus.
• Prior experience in cybersecurity or intelligence is a plus.
• Front-end experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• We build and enrich backend microservices, from researching areas of concern through to implementing the final solution.
