Software Tester

Salary: £35,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements:

• Passion for software testing and creating high-quality products
• Strong analytical, creative problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams, take ownership, and adapt to changing tasks
• Experience with condition monitoring, embedded systems, industrial technologies, Agile practices, or Atlassian Cloud tools is advantageous but not essential
• Open to candidates at different career stages, including those able to mentor others

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans and strategies, and review requirements, specifications, and user stories for clarity and testability
• Design, write, and maintain manual and automated test cases; perform functional, regression, integration, system, and non-functional testing
• Set up and maintain test environments, test data, infrastructure, and supporting systems and processes
• Contribute to automated test frameworks, scripts, utilities, and improvements to testing and verification processes
• Identify defects, investigate root causes, evaluate solutions, and document and report results, risks, and recommendations
• Manage testing resources and tasks, and ensure testing meets internal standards, best practices, and safety requirements
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues, customers, suppliers, and leadership to support project and business objectives
• Maintain professional development, stay informed about technologies and testing practices, and apply safe, ethical, and sustainable engineering principles
