Site Reliability Engineer

Salary: £75,000 - 95,000 per year

Requirements:

• Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a similar infrastructure-focused role
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation
• Understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting technologies
• A methodical, collaborative approach to problem-solving
• A genuine interest in building reliable, secure, and scalable systems
• Candidates must be eligible for BPSS, SC, and DV clearance and meet the relevant UK Government residency and right-to-work requirements associated with the required level of clearance

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable physical and virtual infrastructure
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues
• Automate processes using tools such as Ansible
• Work with infrastructure as code and configuration management
• Support CI/CD and wider automation practices
• Implement and improve monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and wider teams
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and efficiency
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of tools, systems, and engineering practices

We are a growing technology business of more than 100 people across the UK, offering a genuinely hands-on Site Reliability Engineer role with plenty of scope to influence technical direction and solve interesting problems. You will initially work fully remotely, with the potential to move to a hybrid arrangement in Cheltenham in the future. Subject to eligibility, you may also have the opportunity to progress through security clearance, potentially up to DV level.
